The aim of the society is to educate, promote and develop the interest in aviculture in the community.

The Ryde Club conducts as its main activities monthly meetings, an annual show, an annual canary auction and sale.

The Club with the support of its members provides practical advice on how to breed, rear, show and care for canaries and other cage birds to new members.
